Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast marked Earth Hour Malaysia 2026 with its “Little Creatures, Big Impact” programme on 28 March, bringing together families, students and guests for a full-day biodiversity experience that highlighted the role of insects and pollinators in sustaining ecosystems and global food systems.

The initiative featured expert-led sessions and interactive workshops, including a Meet the Entomologist talk by Dr. Aqilah Binti Awg Abdul Rahman, alongside seed ball making, educational crafts and insect showcases designed to translate awareness into practical conservation action.

A community marketplace supported local artisans and raised funds for the Pengerang Association for the Arts of Persons with Disabilities, reinforcing inclusive community engagement.

The programme concluded with a symbolic lights-off gathering, reflecting Hard Rock’s ongoing commitment to sustainability education and environmental awareness.
