A Step Towards Sensory-Inclusive Hospitality

In conjunction with Autism Acceptance Month, Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast will host “KULTURECITY x Autism Acceptance Month: Community Dialogue – Advancing Inclusive Hospitality” on 2 April 2026.

The event celebrates the resort’s milestone as Malaysia’s first resort to receive the KultureCity Sensory Inclusive™ Certification, a global initiative that helps public spaces better support individuals with sensory needs through trained staff, sensory bags, and designated quiet areas.

Bringing together parents, educators, advocates, and community organisations, the dialogue will create a space for meaningful conversations about how hospitality and tourism environments can become more inclusive for neurodivergent individuals and their families.

Participants will experience a Sensory Walk introducing the resort’s sensory support tools and quiet zones, followed by a community sharing session and networking opportunities.

By listening to lived experiences and building partnerships with the autism community, Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast continues its commitment to creating welcoming spaces where every guest can feel comfortable, supported, and included.
