19 August 2025

Hard Rock Hotel Penang is proud to announce that Children’s Protection Society Malaysia has been selected as a 2025 Hard Rock Heals Foundation Grant recipient. The organization will receive a $5,000 USD (approximately RM21,000) grant to support its work in emphasizing the importance of education in all areas of life for the children in the shelter, including those from underprivileged families.

Nominated by the team at Hard Rock Hotel Penang, Children’s Protection Society Malaysia was chosen from a global pool of nominees to receive funding as part of Hard Rock’s worldwide commitment to healing through philanthropy. The grant is one of 50 awarded this year by the Hard Rock Heals Foundation, totaling $250,000 USD in donations to local charities around the world.

“We nominated Children’s Protection Society Malaysia because their mission and work speak directly to the needs of our local community,” said Michael Smeeton, General Manager. “We’re honored to support them and proud to stand with organizations that reflect our values: Love All – Serve All and Take Time to Be Kind.”

With the generous contribution of $5,000 USD from the Hard Rock Heals Foundation, the Children’s Protection Society Malaysia is able to continue its vital mission while easing financial commitments. A portion of the funds will be allocated to three impactful initiatives: supporting the upcoming Child Protection Bootcamp for youths from NGO homes, sustaining Child Safety Awareness Programs through social media and podcast outreach and strengthening education and tuition support for children from low-income families. Together, these efforts will empower, educate and protect vulnerable youth while creating safer communities for the next generation.
