Hard Rock Hotel Penang proudly announces the return of its highly anticipated charity event, Rock to Rock Run, scheduled for 15 June 2025 at 6.00 am on its premises.
Rock to Rock Run began in 2010 as a heartfelt initiative to give back to the local community and has grown into a platform for meaningful change. Marking its 10th year, this milestone event aims to make a greater impact by raising a total of RM50,000 for two deserving beneficiaries.
1. Sekolah Kebangsaan Batu Ferringhi
This local government school is set to benefit from funds raised to refurbish a classroom, creating an inclusive and safe space for students with disabilities. This also marks the second collaboration between Hard Rock Hotel Penang and the school.
2. Caring Hearts Berhad
A non-profit organisation dedicated to providing education to refugee and disadvantaged children in Penang. The funds will help sustain their mission of offering education opportunities to children who lack access to formal schooling.
Event Registration
Registration opens from 9 January to 28 February 2025 to the first 2000 runners. Runners can register at: https://howei.com/event_details/rocktorockrun2025. Participants can choose between two categories. Registration fee is RM99 per person for the Competitive Run (10.2 km) and RM90 per person for Fun Run (3.8 km), excluding tax. Runners will receive an exclusive Rock to Rock Run 2025 jersey T-shirt, a finisher medal, an e-certificate and a chance to win a lucky draw on the day of the event.
To commemorate the event’s 10th edition, participants can choose to upgrade their standard tee to the limited edition version for an additional RM30, or add-on the limited edition tee for RM50. Race packs must be collected on 13 - 14 June 2025, from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm at Hard Rock Hotel Penang.
YB Daniel Gooi Zi Sen, Penang State EXCO for Youth, Sports and Health, remarked: “The Rock to Rock Run exemplifies how events can unite our community while aligning with the Penang2030 vision of a Family-Focused State. By encouraging family participation and strengthening community bonds, this event contributes to a brighter future of Penang.”

The Rock to Rock Run is a testament to these values and to our commitment to making a positive impact in our community.”
The event is co-organised by the Penang Amateur Athletic Association (P.A.A.A.), with the support from the Penang State Sports Council and Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang.
