Join us for Earth Hour 2026: Insects Keep the Earth Beating, where guests can meet an entomologist, join our annual Earth Hour lights-off countdown, enjoy sweet treats, dive into hands-on activities, explore insect exhibitions, and learn why these tiny creatures are the true rockstars of our ecosystem, and more!

 

Event Highlights:

• Meet the Entomologist
Meet entomologist Dr Aqilah Binti Awg Abdul Rahman and discover the important role insects play in our ecosystem through engaging sharing sessions and hands-on learning.
Time: 10.00 AM – 12.00 PM
Location: Avalon
Paid session: RM50 (refreshments included). 100% of proceeds will be donated to the Pengerang Association for the Arts of Persons with Disabilities.

• Vendor Booths
Explore local products including stingless bee honey from Belungkor and items by the Pengerang Association for the Arts of Persons with Disabilities.
Time: 11.00 AM – 8.00 PM

• Insect Exhibition & Activities
Learn more about insects through educational displays and create your own Insect Supporter Band to show your support for insect conservation.
Time: 2.30 PM – 8.00 PM

• Earth Hour Lights-Off Countdown & Buzzing Bites
Join us for the Earth Hour lights-off countdown with an educational screening and Buzzing Bites as we reflect on protecting the planet.
