Author and interpreter of her own story, Marisa Valle Roso took Asturian folklore to another level. Passionate about her roots, she was interested in Asturian tonada from a very early age, and has won numerous accolades for her ability to renew the genre. Her first solo album, "De lo fondero l'alma" (2011), sold more than 4,000 copies and received the "Premio de la Crítica RTPA" for "Best Asturian Song Album of the Year". Her restlessness to continue learning leads her to try other types of folklore, genres and styles and she evolves in her albums as can be seen in "Consciente" from 2017, produced by Charlie Bautista and Sebastian Merlín. Her new work has the collaboration both interpretative and compositional of artists such as Rozalén or Víctor Manuel himself, who composes for her Cómplices, an unpublished song that receives the "AMAS Award" in the section of best folk song. In 2022 Marisa Valle Roso releases her first album as a composer, "Lo Fugaz", in which she explores folklore and makes it converge with electronic atmospheres and pop tints, resulting in a contemporary work that at the same time emanates from the roots. For the first time, the artist begins to compose her own songs and to tell stories that reflect her most personal concerns.
