Celebrate the magic of the season at the heart of music + entertainment. We’ve wrapped up some can’t miss things for your December stay at our Midtown Manhattan Hotel.
Rockefeller Christmas Tree
The city’s most iconic Christmas tree will once again illuminate the night sky with the annual lighting ceremony taking place on Wednesday, December 4th. This year’s tree is a Norway Spruce from West Stockbridge, Massachusetts and is decorated with more than 50,000 LED lights and topped with a three-dimension Swarovski star. The televised event draws a large crowd so be sure to arrive early to secure the best seat. Following the ceremony, the tree will be lit everyday from 5:00 AM – Midnight. Make it an afternoon at Rockefeller Center by ice skating at The Rink, reserving a holiday chalet, or exploring Top of The Rock.

Holiday Window Displays
Take an evening stroll and explore the festive holiday window displays across Manhattan.
- Bloomingdales: Inspired by the movie Wicked each of the six windows is thoughtfully designed to include elements of Wicked and the season’s finest gifts. Catch the displays along Lexington Avenue and 59th Street.
- Saks Fifth Avenue: Although the iconic lightshow won’t be returning for 2024, they will continue their holiday window display. While an official theme has yet to be announced, the displays will highlight the top names in luxury as well as be recreated inside the store as part of the Saks Holiday Market. Prior themes include collaborations with Dior and special gifts from past years. Catch the display on 5th Avenue and 49th Street.
Fifth Avenue snowflake
Sparkling in the night sky at 767 Fifth Avenue is a 30-foot-tall snowflake. Shining bright since 1984, the snowflake has served as a beacon of hope during the winter holiday season while raising millions for charity.
