Following her own treatment for breast cancer and her husband’s retirement, they moved from Jakarta to Bali. Shortly thereafter, Gaye discovered that the infrastructure in Bali for making women aware of breast cancer was almost non existent, notwithstanding professional medical expertise being available on the island with at least two hospitals offering breast cancer treatment to patients. Since start up, the group of volunteers, managing the campaign, has expanded and has managed to raise considerable funds through the Walks and other events, especially from generous sponsorship from overseas, particularly Australia & Singapore.

The R.O.L.E. Foundation collects used soaps from hotels and villas on a monthly basis. The used soaps are then disinfected and reprocessed into new soaps. Thus, less waste is sent to landfills. It also provides training and employment to the women of Sawangan village, who produce the soaps. The up-cycled soaps are also distributed to those in need.

Sungai Watch is a Bali-based environmental organization on a mission to stop plastic pollution from entering the ocean by installing trash barriers in rivers. Founded in 2020, the organization's approach includes daily cleanups, sorting and upcycling collected waste, and engaging with local communities and governments to improve waste management practices.
Hard Rock Hotel Bali has been a strong supporter of Sungai Watch, a Bali-based environmental group that installs trash barriers in rivers. This partnership began with the hotel's 2023 Rock 'n' Run event, which raised funds to install new river barriers and provide 65 waterproof suits for Sungai Watch's "river warriors." Hard Rock Hotel Bali continues to support Sungai Watch, reinforcing its commitment to "Save the Planet."

Yayasan Bali Hijau Lestari Foundation is a non-profit foundation focused on environmental renewal through reforestation. The organization works with local communities to plant valuable tree species, providing not only ecological benefits like carbon absorption and erosion prevention but also economic benefits for local farmers.
In a recent partnership, Hard Rock Hotel Bali's 21st annual Rock 'n' Run 2024 charity event raised funds to support Yayasan Bali Hijau Lestari's tree-planting efforts. The proceeds from the event went towards planting 3,800 trees across two sites in Bali: Bukit Payang, Mt. Batur, Kintamani, and Rendang village in Karangasem.

The Bali Bersama Bisa Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to de-stigmatizing mental health and providing a vital support network in Bali. With the motto "Together We Can," the foundation offers free and accessible services, including a 24/7 crisis and emotional support helpline (BISA Helpline), professional counseling, and peer support programs.
As a Hard Rock Grant program recipient, the foundation is the official beneficiary of the Hard Rock Hotel Bali's 2025 Rock 'n' Run charity fun run. The funds raised from this event will be used to provide essential resources and professional assistance, helping individuals on their journey to mental well-being and reinforcing Hard Rock's commitment to "Take Time To Be Kind."
